Whales, like blue whales, have baleen plates, which helps them take in large quantities of water and filter their food from it through the help of these plates. These baleen plates act as a sieve and help the whale derive their food. Other toothed whale varieties, such as beaked whales, have a set of teeth that helps them bite and chew on their prey.

The short answer is no, most of the time whales and sharks will avoid attacking each other. Most often, the whale will flee from the shark but there have been cases of whales attacking sharks. Usually Sharks are not interested in attacking whales because whales are too big for a shark to eat. The whale lives in the ocean so their predators are the killer whales and orcas.

Crocodiles are aggressive predators, but they can go months or even a year without eating. A crocodile’s bodily system is designed in such a way that it can conserve all of the energy it gets from its meal. Crocs can even shut down and survive for a long time on their own tissue in extreme circumstances.

As some of you already know, fishes swim with sharks because they rely on these sharks to derive their food. Small fishes, in particular, greatly benefit from the sharks and frequently consume the scraps left behind by them. As such, these fishes help keep the ocean water clean for the shark. In turn, sharks protect these small fishes from predators. 

Sharks may bring up thoughts of thrashing great whites or the meg, but some of them are actually rather friendly. There are approximately 500 species of sharks, some of which allow divers to approach and swim with them. Even though sharks cannot be as friendly as dogs, they can occasionally show agreeable behavior.

Sharks are often seen as unsophisticated and mindless. They are often portrayed in the media as mindless killing machines. In reality, sharks are one of the most smartest creatures on the planet. In fact, it could be said that they possess a degree of intelligence comparable to that of a dolphin. 

Megalodons are the largest sharks of all time, but basking sharks are the second-largest modern-day shark (also fish). However, both sharks are fascinating predators, and although one was a vicious carnivorous, the other one is a filter feeder. Still, there are certain fundamental ways in which both sharks are different.

Bull sharks and great whites are touted to be dangerous, man-eating animals. The great whites are bigger and more powerful. However, bull sharks are considered deadlier and more aggressive since they swim near the surfaces and coastal regions as compared to great whites that occupy open oceans.

Shark whales are touted as the largest species of the fish family whereas blue whales are the largest living animals on Earth. While shark whales are stouter, blue whales have a leaner appearance. Besides, shark whales have a blunt snout as compared to the pointed cone-like snout of blue whales.
